Can Adversarial Networks Make Uninformative Colonoscopy Video Frames Clinically Informative? (Student Abstract)

چکیده
Various artifacts, such as ghost colors, interlacing, and motion blur, hinder diagnosing colorectal cancer (CRC) from videos acquired during colonoscopy. The frames containing these artifacts are called uninformative present in large proportions colonoscopy videos. To alleviate the impact of we propose an adversarial network based framework to convert clinically relevant frames. We examine effectiveness proposed approach by evaluating translated for polyp detection using YOLOv5. Preliminary results improved performance along with elegant qualitative outcomes. also failure cases determine directions future work.

Less Is More: Picking Informative Frames for Video Captioning
In video captioning task, the best practice has been achieved by attention-based models which associate salient visual components with sentences in the video. However, existing study follows a common procedure which includes a frame-level appearance modeling and motion modeling on equal interval frame sampling, which may bring about redundant visual information, sensitivity to content noise and...
متن کاملAdaptive specular reflection detection and inpainting in colonoscopy video frames
Colonoscopy video frames might be contaminated by bright spots with unsaturated values known as specular reflection. Detection and removal of such reflections could enhance the quality of colonoscopy images and facilitate diagnosis procedure. In this paper we propose a novel two-phase method for this purpose, consisting of detection and removal phases. In the detection phase, we employ both HSV...
متن کاملAutomatic Colorectal Polyp Detection in Colonoscopy Video Frames
Colonoscopy is currently the best technique available for the detection of colon cancer or colorectal polyps or other precursor lesions. Computer aided detection (CAD) is based on very complex pattern recognition. Local binary patterns (LBPs) are strong illumination invariant texture primitives. Histograms of binary patterns computed across regions are used to describe textures. Every pixel is ...
